Brian Brodie was born and raised in rural Dalkeith in Eastern Ontario. After graduating from Lakehead University, he returned to dairy farming and continues to farm today. Brian married Gwen in 1976, and they have three grown children and five grandchildren. He grew up in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA), and was ordained as a Ruling Elder in 1985. He temporarily pastored the Hudson-St. Lazare RP church for 16 years (1985-2001) while it was without a pastor. He continues to teach each Lord’s Day and conducts a weekly Bible Study, as well as preaching when necessary.
Pastor, Messiah’s Church, Syracuse
Rev. Brian E. Coombs has been the pastor of what is now Messiah’s Church (RPCNA) in Clay, NY since 1996. Brian received a B. Mus. Perf. from Ithaca College (classical guitar), and his M.Div. from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA. He has served the RPCNA in various ways, and is host of the annual Reformation Symposium his church hosts. With his excellent wife, Dorian, he has four children.

Rev. W. Brian Murray serves as Director of Gillepie Academy, a one year post-secondary program designed to prepare students for university, future employment, or the building of a Christian home. He teaches Systematic Theology and Ethics at Gillespie. Rev. Murray received his B.R.E. Heritage College, Cambridge, Ontario. and his M.Div. from Haddington House, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He is currently completing the M.Th. at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rev. Murray was ordained in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in 2003. He is married and he and his wife Melissa have 4 children.
Parliament Hill Staffer, Preaching Intern, Evangelist
Daniel Gilman has been a preaching intern at Church of the Messiah for the last two years. This includes public preaching every second week at Church on Wednesday, at the campus of the University of Ottawa. “This is the highlight of my week”, he says. Daniel also serves on the board of National Campus Life Network, which trains prolife students to be effective advocates for preborn babies on university campuses across Canada.
Daniel works as a Parliamentary Assistant for a Member of Parliament, is the Director of Parliament Hill Christian Fellowship and serves on the board of The National Prayer Breakfast which annually brings together Senators, Members of Parliament and Christian leaders from across Canada for prayer.
Daniel also works with Voice Found which equips parents to protect kids from sexual abuse. He is a passionate advocate against human trafficking – the equivalent of modern day slavery. He was actively involved in organizing one of the largest Canadian conferences against human trafficking- The Justice Summit. He sees a definite link between pornography, abortion and human trafficking. He recently founded another organization called ‘Strength To Fight’, to offer help for young people dealing with pornography addiction.
You can find him practicing lifestyle evangelism, living among the homeless and urban poor in Ottawa with a ministry called MoveIn, His vision is to see his neighbours grow in life-transforming love for Jesus Christ, and to walk in strength and courage as they follow Him through every adventure.

After obtaining his baccalaureate in biochemistry (University of Moncton), Joel Robichaud completed his graduate studies in organic chemistry (Laval University: total synthesis of natural products) and worked twelve years in medicinal chemistry (Merck Frosst Canada: osteoporosis, infectious diseases, etc.).
Joel is now a tenured chemistry and biochemistry professor at Champlain College and he is currently completing another graduate degree in education (M.Ed.University of Sherbrooke).
Joel is the author or coauthor of over 30 scientific publications and patents, and he has
participated at over a dozen scientific conferences. For more than ten years Joel has been lecturing about key aspects that are crucial to the delicate but important subject of the origins of life. The approach taken entails objectivity and respect, avoids questionable issues, and maintains the focus on solidly established scientific principles and observations. The goal of his presentations centers on equipping hearers with all of the facts so that they may draw informed conclusions.
